Had to switch trains in Copenhagen late at night. While waiting for my train I took out my camera and shot a few pictures. Fist one is of a fellow traveler that might have missed his train, or maybe not …

Second one is of a young man who was on his way home after having been out on the town having a good time. He told me he was a boxer and was eager to pose for a portrait.

Both photos where taken using a Pentax Spotmatic with a 55mm f1.8 lens. Film was Tri-X pushed to EI 1600. Scanned with a Minolta Scan Dual IV and processed in Lightroom.

Traveling through Thailand I snapped this picture of a young boy standing next to a stand in a local market. I would guess it was his parents stand and he was either helping out or just waiting for them to close up shop and go home.

Walked through St. James’s Park in London one rainy December afternoon when I came across this gentleman feeding his friends. I assume that he was a regular visitor to the park.

Traveling around Europe with my friend Anders we stopped for a few days in Geneva, Switzerland. Came across these well behaved kids in a kindergarten in the city. By now they are middle aged and probably put their own kids in the same kindergarten.

I have over the years taken lots of photographs and most of them I have not looked at for years. I’m not very good at printing and organizing my photographs, so they sit hidden in a box or in a binder. Most are slides others are B&W or color negatives.

It’s about time that I look through this collection, relive some of these moments and pick out the pictures that I like the best and scan and print them. I’ll post some of them here on this blog. Here is the first one from 1971. It was taken in Torquay in England. I was staying with a family there for a couple of weeks during the summer to learn the language and also to learn to sail. The picture is taken on our way home from a Sunday outing when everyone is a bit tired.

The picture was taken on Kodachrome using a Zeiss Contaflex II that I had borrowed from my dad. I converted it to grayscale using Lightroom.
